PRINCE WILLIAMS SEAT 16 MARCH- WICKLOW

from €22.50

Kick start your Sunday with a lovely hike up to a summit that lies on the Dublin-Wicklow border, providing moutain views in all directions, including the iconic Sugarloaf, and out over the gorgeous Irish Sea. The trail wanders uphill along the Wicklow Way from Curtlestown wood but there are plenty of places to stop for breaks and take in the beautiful surroundings. We start on fireroads and wind through some forrestry with stone steps cut into the hill, before breaking off the main trail onto a single-track path that can be quite muddy but brings us up to the stunning summit of Prince Williams Seat. Here we will stop and (weather permitting) have a chance to eat any snacks you would like to bring with you, and of course we will take some photos! We will be on the lookout for local wildlife throughout and will take some time to learn about species that frequent these hills. We return down some similar and some new trails with various terrain underfoot. Dogs are welcome on the hike, however to stay in line with Leave No Trace principles please bring bags to pick up after them and keep them on leads throughout the hike.
