Become a GGW Community Leader

Want to share your passion and love for the outdoors?

We are assembling Mountain Leaders, Tour Guides and Event Hosts to lead and grow our GGW Community in Galway. We are also looking to expand to Cork. The role of a GGW Host will be to encourage and grow their communities while being responsible for organising and guiding hikes, hosting events in their County.

APPLICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY ONLY OPEN FOR GALWAY, CORK OR NEARBY COMMUTABLE TOWNS.

Our GGW Community Leaders encourage and empower all women to experience the outdoors, to nurture self love, build increased confidence, creativity, fitness, mindfulness and adventure.

Most importantly we want to have fun and forge new friendships out in the wild!

If you want to be a GGW Host for our Galway and soon to be Cork communitie and share your love of the outdoors with others then GALZGONEWILD would love to hear from you. 

  • Our GGW Community Leaders are passionate about the outdoors. They want to encourage and connect the Women in their local communities to get outdoors together.

    • Manage and moderate your counties Instagram Page

    • Encourage community participation for hikes

    • Organise and Host hikes

    Requirements

    • Internet access to perform above responsibilities

    • Active Facebook account to manage your GGW Counties Community Instagram page

    • Shadow one of our hikes/events to learn about GGW policies and procedures to help you successfully run your GGW Community.

    • Be available to check your email weekly to stay up to date with GGW.

    • Host a minimum of 1 community event a month on our GGW calendar

    • The opportunity to bring together and create a GGW Community of like-minded women in your local community.

    • Your official ’WILD GALZ GUIDE’ patch + sticker

    • Attend GGW Community Leader only events.

    • Discounts for GGW Getaways

    • Excellent reference for future jobs

    • Paid hikes and getaways in Ireland

    • Opportunity to host our international and European expeditions and trips- The Camino, Patagonia, Kilimanjaro are some adventures our hosts have had the pleasure of traveling to.
