About Us
Mel Mc Dermott is the founder of Womens Outdoor Adventure Community Galz Gone Wild back in 2017. Connecting Women with nature,the outdoors, themselves and one another through monthly hikes, events, trips and expeditions. As a new Mother to her son Cuán in September, she found her experience in the outdoors became a little slower paced. Instead she shared her love of nature with her son in her local forests and woodlands. She believes fostering his relationship with nature in his early years is the bedrock for cultivating future stewards of our environment.
Many Galz Gone Willd members have been with us since we began in 2017 and some of them are now journeying into Motherhood, Creating a community for other Mams and their kids to experience this connection in a safe and supportive way is an organic next chapter for me and our Community.”
