Features some of the world’s most inspiring women in adventure. This event is a celebration of the fantastic women around us who are doing extraordinary things. These selection of unique films have been carefully chosen to showcase awesome women achieving their adventurous goals. The films share real stories about women from a variety of cultures and sports around the world. Get ready to be inspired!

All profits will be donated to The Galz Gone Wild Impact Fund

The Galz Gone Wild Impact Fund empowers women in the outdoors by supporting exploration and adventure sports. We will provide funding for individuals for training programs and workshops to enhance outdoor skills and leadership, to ensure access to adventure experiences. Together, we will work to break down barriers and advocate for equal opportunities for women in the adventure industry.

OUR KEY FOCUS AREAS:

• Empower: Support women exploring the outdoors and adventure sports.

• Skill Development: Fund training programs and workshops to enhance outdoor skills and leadership.

• Financial Support: Provide funding for access to adventure programs, workshops, courses and equipment.

• Community Building: Create a network of women adventurers for mentorship and collaboration.

• Inspire: Showcases the achievements of women in adventure to inspire future generations.

• Diversity and Inclusion: Prioritise funding for underrepresented groups in the outdoor community.

• Partnerships: Collaborate with organisations to enhance the fund's impact.

• Impact Measurement: Track outcomes to demonstrate the benefits of our funded initiatives.

• Advocacy: Work to dismantle barriers and promote equal opportunities for women in the adventure industry.

Outdoor Gear Swap Shop Party

HERE'S HOW OUR GALZ GON' SWAP PARTY WORKS

This is a Summer wear and Outdoor Gear & clothing swap.

• Bring along 1-4 good quality items of your Summer, Outdoor Gear/clothing

• Items you can bring- Waterproof trousers, waterproof jackets, base layers, leggings, hiking boots, hiking shoes, trail shoes, running shoes, trail sandals, outdoor tees, outdoor shorts, fleeces, down jackets, thermal wear, running shorts, running vets, running tops, dresses, skirts, summer jackets, summer coats, co-ords, blouses, shirts, play suits, jumpsuits, jumpers, cardigans, vintage, designer. The list goes on.

• Outdoor Gear items you can bring- Backpacks, boots, shoes, jackets, tees, tops, waterproof pants, gloves, beanies, thermal layers, buffs. We will also accept the following items as long as they are not broken, torn etc Need to be in a usable condition- Sleeping bags, Sleeping mats, tents, camping chairs, head torches, hiking poles, hiking boots, hiking shoes, camping gear, climbing gear, running gear etc

• You will then receive tokens in exchange for your items.

• Use these tokens to take home something new!

• Items not to bring- Jeans, hosiery, casual tees, basic tees, office wear- office skirts/tops, clothing that is stained or damaged.

• At the end of the night we will donate all left over items to charity and any suitable outdoor gear will be given to Earths Edge as part of their Kilimanjaro Porter Drive and to Trail Criu, a trail running community for for asylum seekers and migrants.

Thanks to our pals Thermarest who are sponsoring the event. They will be providing A M A Z I N G prizes on the night for you galz! Great outdoors are also giving everyone who attends a discount to use in store. Not only that but they will have their team on hand to answer any questions you have about gear, clothing, hiking boots etc A great opportunity to pick up some bits for your next adventure.

There will also be tasty refreshments and snacks to enjoy while we cosy up and watch some movies on the big screen.

If you are a newbie to GGW, PLEASE DO NOT BE DETERRED COMING SOLO! We PROMISE you will not be left on your own. We have some fun games on the night to get everyone chatting and mingling.

WHAT TO BRING CHECKLIST

• A cup for your hot drink

• A water bottle with at least 1 litre of water

• Hangers for your swap shop items. If you bring 1 item you only need 1 hanger. 2 items, 2 hangers blah blah blah so on so forth :)

• A pen and paper

GGW Policies

• No exchanges, refunds of your ticket or transfers of your ticket onto another adventure.

• If you have had to cancel your booking due to experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 you are not entitled to a refund, exchange or transfer.

• We reserve the right to cancel any of our Hikes/Getaways/Mountain Skills Training/Events/Challenges at any time without notice.

• All of our Hikes/Getaways/Mountain Skills Training/Events/Challenges are subject to change and cancellation including date/time/location/length.

• Deposits are non refundable/transferable/exchangeable.

• If hikes that are part of our 2/4/6 week challenges are cancelled due to situations out of our control for e.g Weather Warnings, Snow, Rain, Wind, Sickness, Bereavement, Injury, Bus break downs etc we will reschedule the hike for another date. If you are unable to attend the new date you will not be entitled to a refund/exchange/transfer.

• Failure to make final payments for Hikes/Getaways/Mountain Skills Training/Events/Challenges will result in the loss of your deposit, instalments and place.

• We accept no responsibility if your flight/boat/train/car is delayed, cancelled,missed or transferred. You will not be entitled to a refund or exchange of your ticket or deposit.

• All meals are vegetarian however the production facilities are not allergen free and cross contamination may occur. We cannot guarantee that traces of the food that you are allergic to are not present in the foods that you are served. This may include but not limited to nuts,gluten,eggs,dairy,meat,fish etc If this presents medical issues for yourself then you need to make an informed decision on whether to consume our food and meals.

• During the hike your itinerary and its activities may be subject to alteration/cancellation/duration due to but not limited to bad weather, group/individual safety, timing, ability, delays. Refunds will not be issued in this case.
