CRUAGH WOOD, MASSEYS & HELLFIRE LOOPED HIKE 18 MAY- DUBLIN
Enjoy a hike through Cruagh Woods on a mix of trail and boardwalk, with views of some of the Dublin Mountain peeks (Tibradden and Three Rock) along the way. Reach the peak of Cruagh Mountain (Coill Na Craobhai) with panoramic views of Dun Laoghaire Harbour and Howth with Dublin spread at your feet. As we make our way down into Cruagh Woods we will head into Massey Woods, an incredibly atmospheric and magical forest, it echoes with history. A magnificent mansion once stood on this site and the remains of garden walls are still visible today. We will cross the road to the Hell Fire Club for another up hill to the top where sits the ruin of a hunting lodge. When we have completed this trail, we will make our way back to Massey Woods to loop back to the car park. A great way to discover some of the trails in the Dublin Mountains on this long distance hike with numerous up hills throughout

For anyone that offers up a lift and the lift is accepted you will receive 10% back on your ticket. We ask that all car poolers make a donation to fuel costs. To offer a lift or request a lift simply head to our GGW Facebook Page and share the details of the hike and your pick up location/locations. If you are a car pooler and are unsuccessful in finding a lift please email hello@galzgonewild.com on the Monday before your adventure and we will send a mail out to all participants on your behalf when we send out the itinerary and checklist on the Tuesday afternoon.

GGW is staying true to one of the commitments we made on International Women’s Day which was to reduce the financial barriers that may stop Women from experiencing the outdoors.
This is a new initiative and will see the current structure of GGW change so that we may create space for all Women in the outdoors. We realise that the outdoors may not be accessible to everyone. Because of this we are now offering options to suit everyone and their needs.
